The 2026 Celtic Studies Association of North America Annual ConferenceThe Department of Celtic Studies at St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia, Canada, is thrilled to be hosting the 2026 CSANA conference from May 7-10. The event will be hosted in-person and we are currently exploring options to make it a hybrid conference.

We invite proposals for papers 20-25 minutes in length, with room for questions, as well as 90-minute themed sessions, roundtables, or workshops on any area of Celtic Studies.

Proposals for individual papers should include the author’s name, affiliation (if any), email address, proposed paper title, and an abstract of 200-300 words. Proposals for roundtables, themed sessions, or workshops should clearly identify the main correspondent, as well as a title, and a 200-300 word description.

Please send your proposal to celtic@stfx.ca with the subject line ‘CSANA [paper/themed session/roundtable/workshop] proposal’.

The deadline for all submissions is December 1, 2025. We aim to respond to everyone and produce a finalized program by early January. However, should you require an earlier response with a view on funding, please let us know.
